The Leng Pleng Gig Guide comes out on a Thursday or Friday of every week

Gig Guide - Thursday the 11th of November, 2010

Hey,

Some huuuuuuuge gigs on this weekend as the music scene really starts hotting up for the coming high season. Especially on Saturday where live music lovers will be torn between no less than 6 great gigs !!!!!!

The Mekong Pirates play at the FCC - which will be absolutely choc-a-block with party revelers (going on their last performance at that venue). Also, Balgass will be playing one of their last gigs for the time being at the MetaHouse. The totally eclectically produced Phnom Penh Hippie Orchestra will be packing out the Chinese House. The Cambodian Space Project who will be preceded by the Stone Daddies will perform for the WFF Fundraiser at Sharky Bar. Also Memphis will be hosting an international tribute to the Grandaddy of Funk with Superbad. Finally Equinox will feature some totally cool Khmer Rap feautuing several of Cambodia's top rap performers - including Lisha, Tum, Oan and DJ Gang. The gig is presented through KlapYaHandz.

Just a quick word about the WWF Fundraiser. This should be a great event - not only for the live music - but also for the other great things that will happen on the night. This includes some great raffles and prizes. All the sponsorship and money collected go directly to the rescue and care of Cambodia’s endangered wildlife at Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center. See more details of the night and prizes here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=105639899506075

The Acoustic Sessions just keep getting better and better so please, all musicians, feel welcome to get down to Setsara next Wednesday night. The Electric Eclectic Limelight Jukebox Jam is also a totally great place and time to get down and play some tunes - that's happening tonight! Yeah!

There is a lot more coming up so please stay tuned - and tell your friends about us if they haven't heard.

Here's this weeks gig guide.
